my life in France

First of all this is my family. My sister Sarah, 17, is the green one. Then there is my dad doing something to my mum at the back. He is certainly poking her eyes because she said something stupid. Nah just kidding. My parents love each other more than you can love somebody, even more since I'm away, because I'm not here to give them trouble anymore. And at the front, the nicest person on Earth, my grand ma. She just turned 80 and I wish I could be that healthy at her age.

My parents in front of the house...

Then here comes a close shot of my dad Benoit and my sister. Look how innocent they look. Never believe what you see. Well my dad is still my hero after all these years. We have developed a very good relationship, an awesome friendship. I am really proud of him, of who he is. And he told me he was proud of who I was being. He is certainly the person I miss more than anybody else when I am away. About my sister? An awesome girl, sometimes an ass like everybody. She is starting to be a woman, and I regret that I am not home enough to take care of her and see her grow up.
And here is me and my mum, Sabine. I have never been able to take a picture of her with me looking good. So I decided to put that picture, because it is a good image of what is really going on between her and me. My favorite pleasure is to harass her, to make her as mad as possible. It often works very well, even more when my dad and my sister help me. I have to say I haven't been really nice with her all the time, that she had to go through a lot of things with me, but I can assure you that I love her more than anything else.
Here is our house, on New Years day at the beginning of the year... It is an old farm that we changed into a house, in the countryside around Lille. My parents often speak about moving, because we have to many buildings, but I am against that because that house is the place where I grew up and it would just not feel right not to be able to go back there on the weekends or breaks.
Here is Eric, my uncle, and my spiritual dad. He introduced me to art and music, the only thing that my parents weren't' able to do. A very smart guy, sometimes a smart ass actually. He is definitely a strange character but so attaching.

Here is Benoit, my god father. HE is going around the world on his boat with his family, right now he is in New Caledonia, after a long stay in Tahiti followed by a year in New Zealand. He is also a strange personage but I love him and I miss it a lot because I really don't see him often.

This is my dad's parents.
Really cool people too. I have a really good relationship with them, mainly with
my grand dad.
We have some unforgettable memories of hikes in the French Alps
together.

at the Background. This is our kitchen.
Look at the expression on his face...
Don't you see it so many time on mine?

These couple of pictures are taken in my little town,
Bailleul, a very cool town, in the Flemish country.
You can see the traditional
red bricks that we use to built houses.
On the other pictures, this is a view
from one of the mounts near my farm, le Mont des Cats.
Here is an awesome trio, myself and the Maerten Brothers,
Georges and Henry.
Put us three together and you can be sure to have a good
time.
We have many years of boy scouts behind us and I wont even speak about the
rest...
Here are my other really good friends from home, Benjamin and Gautier. Benjamin, the guy on the left is a case, I never really understood the way he thinks but he is surely one of the most valuable friends I ever had. So many times we went mountain biking, sailing or running and had so much fun together. He is actually doing the same studies than me but in another college, down South of France. For Gautier, on the right, same thing but I actually understand how he works. He has always been there to share my joys and my despairs. Definitely what a friend should be there for. On the middle, the girl in red is his girl friend, Sarah. She is not a person that I would be friend with really easily but she seems to have domesticated me and we get on well with each other now...

That picture has been taken during integration week, at the beginning of the school year last September. The people shaping the letters are the freshmen from our school and the people in white around them are the sophomores. It is a long time tradition in France that the Sophomores welcome the new freshmen with a week of fun, parties, and wildness.
Here comes Romain, my best friend at ISA. Our friendship started in a strange way, but now nothing could separate us! We had so much fun together in class, at his place or at mine, or when he took me on a skiing trip with his family. Next year we are going to take a flat together, along with his sister. I don't know how the flat is going to look like after a while but it is surely going to be interesting! I definitely miss him a lot.

Here are Gregoire, Louise and Guislain, my other really good friends at Uni. Gregoire and Guislain are my rugby team mates, and Louise is jut a very good friend of all of us. When we start partying, often with a Ricard, I know that the night will be good. Gregoire is a sweet guy, very sensitive, and kinda really like me. HE is always here when I need him. Louise is an amazing chick. She is very feline in her way to be, and she is a famous drinker and a good party girl. Guislain comes from French Brittany and for those who know what it means, it explains everything. He is a sweet guy too, even if he is often hiding himself behind a tough facade.
Some interesting pictures of a party night. That was a really bad idea that me and David put pickles up our nose. From left to right: David, me, Julien, me again, Pascal, David again and finally Benoit. All of them are hunters and we like to joke about that. Benoit is certainly the smartest kid in our class... They are all good friends of mine.
A picture of Gregoire and Juliette, his girlfriend. They are so looking so cute together. I don't know many couples in my friends that are so happy and healthy.
A picture of me and Francis, on new years eve, after a loooooong night of partying hard.

And last but certainly not least, Clementine. No comments on her, too long to explain and far too complicated to understand, even for me...
That is it for my French life. Now check my life at Juniata College.
